The cylinder pressure detector is used to evaluate the balance of cylinder pressure of each cylinder. Remove the spark plug of the cylinder to be tested, install the pressure sensor configured by the instrument, and use the starter to drive the crankshaft to rotate for 3 to 5 seconds.
Steps of cylinder pressure detection method:
1. First blow the dirt around the spark plug with compressed air.
2. Remove all spark plugs. For gasoline engines, the secondary high-voltage wire of the ignition system should also be unplugged and grounded reliably to prevent electric shock or ignition.
3. Insert the conical image head of the special cylinder pressure gauge into the spark plug hole of the measured star cylinder, and press it firmly.
4. Place the throttle valve (including the choke valve if there is one) in the fully open position, use the starter to drive the crankshaft to rotate for 3~5 seconds (not less than 4 compression strokes), and stop rotating after the pressure gauge needle indicates and maintains the maximum pressure reading.
5. Remove the pressure gauge and record the reading. Press the check valve to return the pressure gauge pointer to zero. Measure each cylinder in sequence according to this method. The number of star measurements for each cylinder shall not be less than 2. The arithmetic mean value of the measurement results for each cylinder shall be taken and compared with the standard value. The results shall be analyzed to determine the working condition of the cylinder.
